Welcome to our sixth… well, rather the second public dev diary.
I am Lone Wanderer, the lead designer, presenting an abridged version of our patron only dev diary. This time, we will only be showing off Folsky's newly finished sprites for Azorin, since the only other illustrations we have been able to finish are sex scenes for Garreth in his second date.
We will most likely also not have new backgrounds or illustrations for an unforeseeable amount of time. We know, nobody wants to talk about the war, but it has real consequences on our lives.
Our background and illustration artist, Rauch, lives in Russia. We are still going at a consistent pace in the background to create more writing, so in the foreseeable future we will be adding more story content, dates and also music and sprites.
We can make due with the backgrounds we have for now.
Writing
Both Gherod and I did write quite a substantial amount on the patron dev diary since we did talk a lot about the redesign process of day 5 but also Corvolin. Both Azorin and Corvolin will be quite a bit different while still staying true to their original concepts.
They should both be more personable and less rude now, while also adding a lot of extra stuff to the both of them.
Day 5 as it is now almost feels like a completely different day, also replacing Berac with Camila in the scene. Quite literally actually. She is now the dominatrix that was introduced in that scene, talking with this hardened private investigator all the while dressed in latex.
The Corvolin rework adds extra content to day 4, and while I haven't started on it yet, the segment with them will also be reworked on day 2.
The next build will contain only the Azorin content and the day 5 rework. The Corvolin rework is aimed for the build afterwards.
Music
Samples is also hard at work, adding sound effects and also background music to day 8.
Art
As stated above, Rauch did create illustrations for both sex scene variants on Garreth's second date. Folksy did create more sprites for Azorin.
Closing words
While we might slow down on art assets for a while, the creation of writing content, planning and also background documentation work have actually sped up, even despite how many more unforeseen things popped up that we needed to fix with the reworks.
We are fairly excited to make it further into the story so that you can see (hopefully soon) where we want things to go, and also introduce more major updates to individual characters.
As always, let us know what you think, and we hope you enjoyed reading about our thought processes and how we work on content.
