Godot release is near!
Added 2020-04-10 20:27:38 +0000 UTCHey everyone! A few weeks ago, we wrote a development update post talking about the progress we've made with the Godot port of Identity. It mentions April 10th as our then estimate of the port being finished. Today we are pleased to announce that we estimated correctly, and the first truly playable build is just a few days away from release. Let us explain.
Since that announcement was made, we've been working on the port relentlessly. The story is now fully implemented, so the same content available in version 0.2.8 should be available in the Godot release. Cedrik's dates are not yet implemented, and we will decide soon whether they'll be part of this public release or part of a new patron release somewhere at the end of this month or beginning of May.
We have also completely overhauled the user interface of our game. In one week. Every single menu, every single interface element. We couldn't believe it ourselves how big of a difference it made on the overall look and feel of our game. We hope you will love it just as much as we loved working on it (hats out to Weisser Rauch, our background artist, for bringing it to life, and to Rriik for working hard to implement it all).
All this being said, we would want to take a few more days to iron out any outstanding bugs we may find, and to further add new artwork (Rauch was also busy making tons of background art for both day 5 and Kovle's dates over the past few months) and even some more sounds!
Thank you all for your patience and continued support, and stay tuned for this upcoming release!
