Progress Update May 2019
Added 2019-06-01 20:08:22 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Today, we'd like to talk more in depth about the progress we've made for the past month or so, since the last build was released.
The first thing we'd like to mention though, is that May was a very busy month for pretty much everyone in our team. For different reasons, of course, but the point is that we couldn't spend as much time working on this game as we may have wanted.
However, we still managed to do quite a few things. Most notably is that our writers have primarily devoted their time to creating more dating path content for some of the characters. Expect the next couple of builds to add dating options for Garreth, Brymror, Cedrik and Sybian, and perhaps others to come.
Folsky, our sprite artist, has also finally completed Stralf's default sprite, which means that for the first time in almost two years, you'll be able to see this little kobold in full detail!
We've also completed some more music pieces, such as the main hotel theme, a VIP bar background track and also Draxima's theme. These will add to the music already present in the latest build (v0.2.4).
We've heard your wishes about adding more music to our game, and we now finally have a musician that we're confident with. His name is Sampling Kid. He has been involved with quite a few other game and animation projects, making excellent tracks for them. You can find his compositions outside of Identity on his bandcamp and YouTube channel. Expect to see more and more pieces make their way in the game builds from now on.
Those keen-eyed of you may have also noticed that we've been gradually updating our Patreon home page as we want it to be as clean and to the point as possible. We've reworded and rearranged sections of the project description, updated our goals and rewards and posted a list of all the sprites we've been making up until now. The next step will be changing the far outdated Patreon banner and logo art, which we've posted WIPs of here.
Progress on the Godot port of the game is also advancing steadily. The interface can now be fully navigated using only the keyboard, and the next things to be added will be sound support and a complete options menu.
Overall, we feel much more confident now about the direction of the project than we were half a year ago. Our two current writers have done an incredible job of turning the poor story construct we were left with from our previous writer into a worthwhile endeavour. We hope you feel the same, and as always we're happy to read what you think about it in the comments of our posts!

Sounds like there is a lot of great stuff to look forward to!
