Character Design Sheets of Sybian and Tish

Hello there, it's Lone Wanderer again on the radio.

It's been a while, hasn't it? For today, we are going to introduce the sheets of not one, but two recently presented characters This comes as a trade-off for not talking about their backgrounds all that much. We can only really more talk about the full history of their designs in a post mortem, which would be after the story has come to its conclusion.

They're about Sybian and Tish, both also females. Together with Lucra, they are here to equalize the gender balance a little bit. Because these three are all dateable characters, any other females we might add in the future will be secondary.

Sybian

She is a character you've seen in the rewrite; she is in the VIP bar and likes to tease you. Sybian was first suggested by Blue Bishop.

Mindalu has changed quite a bit and she is more of an aristocrat in this moment as you may have gotten to know through day three. Sybian is also rich, though she is a bit of a counterweight to Mindalu; not every rich person is weird and veiled in conspiracies or controversy.

She is expected to find a partner, but she is taking her sweet time with it. She is a confident seductress. This characterization had led us to go with a noire aesthetic on her. Believe it or not, one of the characters I had suggested as inspiration for her clothes was Carmen Sandiego.

Our concepts of this noire dragoness eventually led to this sheet:

Tish

The directions for Tish's visual design mainly came from me. With her I felt like taking a risk which lead to a design that challenges gender norms. Tish is a muscular and big beast.

An earlier design of hers had left her upper body exposed which looked a little bit suggestive; now she has an apron while she is working, but her physique didn't change.

If you didn't know already that she is a woman you may not actually get that by just looking at her sheet. The secret to her is that there is no sexual dimorphism with her species—there is no difference between males and females other than their genitals.

Tish is a further step in this development of ours to treat gender and sex more equally; which also means that the lines between the sexes get blurred further.
