A new challenger approaches!

Hello once again to this time of the month. Recently a new somebody has been added to our roster. Not in the game, but rather around the game. It's a new writer who goes by the alias Lone Wanderer!

So... what does a new writer added to the project do? I write! I already had the pleasure to occasionally contribute some edits to the game, although it was rather last month's build where you may have noticed a slight difference with how the story was written. You'll be getting more of that. Far more even. I have edited the entirety of the content that was delivered in update point zero one (a.01). That includes the start going through the oak tree path until Garreth takes you to the lobby. There are quite a bit of differences, but the given choices are still the same. It's almost like a new game! :P

In the future we will be going through the existing paths and perhaps change the structure a bit to make choices feel more meaningful.

Remember when I said before, that there wasn't somebody new to our roster of people in the game? Well, I lied about that. This update wouldn't be complete without new content and you will get to meet a new character. Unfortunately because this is more of a teaser, so you won't get to properly interact with them just yet. Reason why the new content is short is because my focus in this first month was more on studying the characters and also working myself through everything that exists so far.

Writing and studying of course aren't the only things that happened, we also have added a couple of pretty backgrounds, crafted by our background artist Weißer Rauch. And our programmer Rriik made some good progress with the Godot port in case you missed the post about the preview.

In the spirit of last month this is a time of change, so your feedback is important here. Whatever has been changed or added here is something that you can reasonably expect the game to look like in the hopefully not so far away future. My focus for this next month will be to add new content, so stay tuned for that!

- New backgrounds added: Master suite bathroom, a hotel lobby background edit featuring Kovle at the reception desk, lobby hallway edits for the fog creep scenes.

Too short :p I've seen you meet the new character with the choice to go in the gym, but if we don't go, how will you manage to make our character meet him ?

Hey there! Thank you for the feedback, and sorry it took so long to reply. We admit that the shower scene is bland and unpolished, it will get replaced by another scene or be completely reworked in the future.

Hey there! The PC versions are probably alright, the issue isn't as much about the choice buttons as it is about the screen sizes. That, and the fact that Ren'Py for Android is severely underdeveloped and badly optimized, so yeah... These issues will most likely be fixed once the game is ported to Godot and we get to work on UI scaling.

Ah there's a little mess that the choice buttons are mixing with background so it's hard to recognize them in Android version. I don't know if Windows' has the same problem but it does run badly at least on my phone. Could you please consider to make it more clear?

Like what I see, you noted you wanted feedback so here's what I have to say- love how the so called 'best friend' is a total jerk. Seeing him prank the main character is really adding a funny tone to the story. In fact so far everything about the story is interesting. Only thing a little off is the shower scene when supposedly he is seeing some really disturbing things before he takes off the necklace. There's no supporting visuals beyond just showing the shower room background. Maybe cut back on the horror description and experience here until you have the visuals to support it. Other than that, loving the story
