Public development news and retrospective!

First of all, we're proud to announce that our project is now officially backed by 50 patrons! Thank you all for your continuous support towards this game! 

We've come a long way since we started this, half a year ago. The prologue is nearing completion, with a whopping 25.000 words and over 2000 dialogue blocks in the script already! Detailed backgrounds and sprites are added with each new update, as well as more story content!

We've introduced 4 'date-able' characters so far, with more on the way! They're Garreth, Cedrik, Kovle and Brymror (left to right).

Kovle's design in particular was quite challenging to make, because we needed to create a feral eastern dragon that looked good and inspired both professionalism and dominance, suiting his personality and occupation.

We're still working on finalizing Brymror's looks (his current sprite there is not made by Folsky, our sprite artist, it's a WIP design turned sprite by FluffedWings, our character designer and art director). His design is also rather unconventional. We thought his marauder personality would benefit from a semi-feral hunched stance, so we gave him sturdy arms and powerful hind legs. That way, he can alternate between walking on 2 legs and switching to all fours to charge into obstacles like a bull, with his mighty horns :P

We've also created an ad for our project and sent it to the FA staff just before new year's eve. It's been up and running for about a week now, already gathering more than 500 clicks in total, which means that more people can now find our project! :}

Rriik, our programmer, is waiting for Godot 3.0 to be released. Godot Engine is a free, open-source and multi-platform engine, with a growing community behind it. It has seen major improvements over the past year and it's shaping up to be an open Unity-like game engine, with fully dedicated 2D and 3D engines, designed to be versatile and easy to use.

Naturally, we're gonna be using its 2D capabilities and flexibility, parting ways with Ren'Py as soon as a new and better framework for our game is created in Godot. This will happen over the next months, and after we move on to using Godot, we will start experimenting with UI layout, menus and interfaces, even animations and interactive scenes!

All in all, the project is going strong, and we're glad that more and more people learn about us and even decide to support us! Thank you all so much, and stay tuned for more updates, more content and most importantly, more fun! ^_^

Hey there! Sorry for the late reply, the notification got borked. Well, at least right now, making a sort of character customization is not on the roadmap, we're still early on with the development. For now, the MC has one look only (the dark scaled one), which can be viewed over on our FA, on one of the Garreth sex scenes). A character customizer is kinda difficult to make in the context of a visual novel, at least in a way that's not limiting and that allows compatibility between the customizable parts. Not to mention that we'll have to add custom looks for every time the MC gets represented as part of the backgrounds... However, if enough people request this to be a feature, we'll see what we can do. :}

hey, i recently found your project and i already love it, i just think there should be a few options for the main character. several parts mentions scale and another mentions them being dark colored scales, i think there should be the option to decide between being a scaly dragon and a fuzzy dragon and if you're a light or dark patterned dragon (simply suggesting to help people place themselves/their sona's into the role of the main character a bit more). it's just a suggestion as i love what you guys have so far ^_^
