But yeah, it's hard for me to fully express just how much Tamers came along and it me at JUST the perfect moment to dig itself deeeeeeep into my psyche. I was already a bit older than the target audience for both Pokemon and Digimon, but even if I wasn't, I'd probably still have imprinted HARD on the idea that my favorite show seemed to be growing up with me. Heck, if I hadn't been trying to conserve space in this comic, there would have been one more set of panels where Young Me is impressed by the very fact that 02 actually allowed the cast of Adventure to age at all. For dweebs desperate to prove they weren't kids anymore, yet still insisted on watching cartoons meant to sell toys to children, Tamers felt like an absolute godsend.
Also, I think the next comic is going to be "page 0.5" because I somehow have one MORE thing to get off my chest before digging into episode 1 directly. Look, we all know the page count and the episode numbers are going to go out of sync eventually, but let me at least TRY to start out with everything adding up. Like, even if only for the first few episodes!
