Added 2021-07-22 18:45:51 +0000 UTCIt was this or a gag about how Sakura scrambling to get a whole summer's worth of homework done in one day is a lot like how I get most of my cartooning done... except Sakura has other people doing most of the work for her, and it ultimately ends up getting done. So, really, it's not an apt comparison.
Ultimately, though, I went with this idea just because I wanted to draw that first panel. Despite what this comic might suggest, I'm actually really excited that Meiling's in the show now, because she's absolutely going to be the most fun character to draw.
(Also, just as a point of order, I HAVE cheated a bit with the writing here, since we don't actually learn the finer details of Meiling's relationship with Syaoran before her one scene is done. But when have I ever let a little thing like context get in the way of me saying whatever I feel like?)
