Conventional Wisdom: MAGFest 2019 - page 1

While the ever-mounting mechanical quirks of my increasingly-aged van probably don't mean much to anybody else out there, this DOES speak to a more universal aspect of this year's MAGFest: it wasn't very cold.  Like, it was a bit chilly after the sun went down, you wouldn't want to be outside without a coat at night or early morning, but for the most part it was quite manageable.  But the thing is, they past few MAGFests were FREEZING.  They were massively, aggressively, frozen-precipitation-causingly cold, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I found myself just assuming it'd be the same this year, even after I could see for a fact that it wasn't.  Before long, this resulted in unfortunate situations like, oh I dunno, cranking up the heater on instinct, then spending the next hour wondering why it's still so freaking hot in the van.  This is the whole reason why I didn't bust out my usual winter cosplays this year... or anything other than the pants, in Ninja The Mission Force's case.

Moving on, I've got a little housekeeping to take care of here.  First of all, I've decided to try the same "one page at a time" method with the Patreon comics that I did with the main ones.  So this will be the only page going up today, but page two will go up as soon as I get it finished, and blah blah blah.  It still goes against my basic principles to start posting when I don't already have everything done, but it'll mean a more steady stream of content, which I'm sure is less frustrating to those of you actually reading the things.  And who knows?  Maybe having to log into Patreon more often, and having to repeatedly confront just how badly the schedule's slipped on so many things, will guilt me into updating some other stuff!  I mean, it can't really get WORSE...

Also, I doubt anyone other than me would even have noticed this if I didn't say anything about it, but I'm gonna try leaving out the little "last/next" links at the bottom of the page.  I got in the habit of adding those back before Patreon allowed for tags, and since that happened, adding my own links has really been pretty redundant.  Now you can just browse the "MAGFest" tag and find the previous page or whatever you need... unless there's something incredibly obvious that I'm missing.  Feel free to loudly point out any massive flaws in my not posting individual page links if you can think of any!  That's literally the only way I get around to fixing things!
