first off, i suspect this post will prompt a bunch of you to be like "oh yeah, why am I still subbed to this patreon". if so, dw, it's chill if you decide to spend your dollars elsewhere, i'll be ok!

i haven't posted to patreon in a while, in part because my output has slowed down in general. my life has become busy in other areas, and maintaining my presence as a furry fetish porn guy online was falling down my list of priorities. i was also, tbqh, burned out on using twitter, and that's where i'd built my main audience online. it sucked ass to use, and using it while also trying to maintain several other presences online was just so much hassle just to use a bunch of websites i didn't like all that much.

when i have been drawing, it's felt silly to lock it behind a paywall, given how little i was already posting. especially since recently i've had the most fun doing ych commissions, and i'm not gonna paywall those, the exhibitionism of having those posted online is half the fun for some people.

all these factors in mind, i was actually very close to deciding to just shutter the patreon rather than shoulder the responsibility of posting to it more. i'm not going to do that, and i'll be honest; it's mainly out of spite. (not towards you, you're lovely.)

the idea of stepping away from lighthearted weirdo queer pornography right now, in this present moment, makes me feel like i'm letting the world win, letting the internet become a little more sanitized, letting queer people become a little quieter. i don't like that! we deserve to be happy on our own freaky terms right now more than ever before.

what I am going to do is two things:

1.

reiterate that this page is, primarily, first and foremost, a tip jar. it's always low-pressure, and you're not gonna hurt my feelings if you pull out your dollar or three or five.

2.

try (try) to post more stuff publicly, and perhaps (perhaps) put WIPs or early versions or full res versions or w/e on this page if i'm excited about them. (i'm going to do one of those things right now, actually!)
