I was making a smoke VFX this week, but it took several days to identify the cause and recover because of a malfunction in which the pressure sensing of the LCD tablet did not work.π©πΈI wrote Jeda in a trial writing of a new pen tablet.
This is my first time to draw an animation of a fluid, so I made it while studying. This is the jump smoke.β
Unlike the character, the smoke does not need to change the color palette, so I finished it assuming the actual production. But...

The current screen layout is based on Guilty Gear Strive. As a result, the character becomes larger (it turns out that it is larger than GGST in the figureπ), and when the character jumps and the camera follows, the ground disappears immediately.
Other games are smaller. I will reconsider the zoom of the camera once again.

It's a little unnatural.π€ Jagged smoke may be better. β‘I would like to use this smoke for another purpose and rewrite it. I was planning to make another effect for landing, but I couldn't make it in time. I will continue to make smoke next week.

However, I felt that the pros and cons were divided when I saw the reaction of Twitter and Discord. Music is an important factor in shaping the gaming experience, so I may have to talk more with him.
