[Dev] Some updates for future releases
Added 2022-02-17 21:03:58 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I just want to give you an update on what I'm working on (and learning) at the moment.
No lazyness, nothing complicate, so let's start!

Someone said... Cars?
That's a delicate topic. I'm taking a look at car creations for Assetto Corsa.
I'm just at the start, and I found out (as expected) that is a world of new informations to learn, like the track counterpart.
Nothing sure and nothing decided yet, but it's always new things and opportunities.

Geometry Nodes
Geometry Nodes are a big addition to 3D Softwares, and can play a big role to create better scenes in less time. Using these, I can populate forests, place rocks and othe objects in much less time. The good thing is that they can adapt to the terrain underneath and react to other objects.

Roads made by curves
Creating roads with bezier curves facilitate the track creation, giving better results in turns resolution and easily change the track's layout.
This part is essential to the start of a new project.

Texture Baking
Using textures for the web is not always a great idea.. you get low resolution textures and photos, that many times are difficult to use for your projects.
Using an high poly tree with 2,000,000 vertices is not the solution either.
That's why texture baking comes in handy.
You create the high poly tree, then you render it to a flat surface, and you have a texture!
That's just an example, texture baking is also used for buildings, roads and objects.
And there's more!
What you think about this?
Do you like the idea of being updated on this kind of 3D related learning progress?
Comments
It’s always interesting to get behind the scenes look and understanding the processes that go into this work. Please keep it up
