But then he got injured and had to go on hiatus (if he was going to be in 127, he probably wasn’t due to the injury). After he returned he released a solo song “Dream in a Dream” and participated in NCT 2018 while releasing another solo called “New Heroes”, before he debuted in WayV in 2019. Also NCT 127 actually debuted with “Firetruck” with only 7 members (Taeyong, Taeil, Yuta, Jaehyun, WinWin, Mark, & Haechan). Johnny and Doyoung joined 127 in 2017 with their song “Limitless”. Doyoung participated in NCT U songs for 2016 (The 7th Sense & Without You), but Johnny didn’t debut until 2017. Jungwoo, who was added during NCT2018 and debuted with Boss, joined NCT 127 at the end of 2018 with their song “Regular”. Thus the unit became fixed because they debuted with 7, then added 2, then 1 more -> 721 -> 127
