U nailed the objective/plan of the evil Left State Councillor! The original plan was to eliminate the Crown Prince but since he failed, he had to change plans by taking advantage of the situation that Won Deuk has amnesia ie. by bringing the exact person he wanted to kill initially back to the palace to return things to the way it was before the Crown Prince went "missing". This is also so that he would look a bit more favorable to the King as well, now that the King has started to come to his senses (for a short while, that is lol). Yes can't wait for your reaction to the next episode! Fyi Seoul was originally known as Hanyang back in the 14th Century (during Joseon dynasty). This drama is centered around this era, where the geographical locations of Songju Village (not sure if this is based on a real or fictional village) and Hanyang is considered far and thus the quickest mean of transportation are horses. The name Hanyang was then changed to Seoul in 1948.
