i gotta say i am DESPERATE to know how much danny phantom charlie actually watched for inspiration for william because i have made MULTIPLE very long voice messages to a friend talking about how the "william loses his powers" arc reminds me of phantom planet AND NOW IN THIS ROLLED talking about the motivations being "he bit off more than he can chew he didnt think he could handle the responsibility hes just happy to be a normal living kid again" this is driving me NUTS . i feel like a red string conspiracy board saying I CALLED IT. Like the Tricksters influence has made it CoC but on steroids or something. Boom sacrifice. Or boom sacrifice for this old friends?

2023-03-27 04:44:48 +0000 UTCI started watching PD for the bit mode, and stayed for the serious plot. The destruction of the PD base, Doug’s betrayal, and the whole arc with Mal were some of my favorite parts of season 1. And on the other hand, PD derailing bits like The Purps remains one of my favorite bits in any ttrpg show ever, so while i definitely don’t want to see bit mode go, I do sort of miss the more serious story elements that were established in season 1. That’s just me nitpicking though, I love this podcast and all the funny bits you guys do to pieces! I’ll happily listen to whatever you guys put out.

It works if it's always been audio-only, like The Adventure Zone, but since yall've been doing facecams for the whole show, your style of comedy incorporates the visual aspect too much to remove it like that. Like cutting to Griz with his head in his hands when Slime & Condi just won't get serious. I laugh at that cause I 100% sympathize with the struggle lmao

I think that was a pretty big scene for him because it was the first time we saw him step up to the plate, and it’s already being talked about that William needs to step up again

But I have gone back to re-watch Apotheosis in video form since it was one of my favorites. Also sorry for commenting on this post I couldn't find just rolled with it for episode 26.

Hearing all the boys just fuck around and being able to go on tangents while simultaneously helping me understand their perspectives better through connections has been so helpful. Keep it going boys! (Also I fucking love Mal so much im really excited to see more of him and the spirit world business in general!)

2023-03-11 19:36:51 +0000 UTCi actually really loved being able to hear everyone’s perspective on how the story is going. since dakota gave william the heart, i could feel through charlie’s acting that william didn’t want to be a hero anymore. he didn’t learn his lesson from the experience, he didn’t have to deal with the very real consequences of his actions before pd and you can see that in the way he acts. im so ready for that moment where william has to make a very real decision. im ready for him to not feel as segmented from his friends, to become that hero he has to be, the hero that vincent and dakota already feel like. dakota going through that metamorphosis from being so powerful to giving up everything to save himself and one of his best friends was incredible to see and it helped him grow into that hero persona without the powers he relied on almost too much. it was also amazing to see vincent come to terms with the fact he can do things himself and he doesn’t need to use all the power of the greats in order to accomplish something. i love pd and their character growth being subtle, but definitely tangible
