2024-05-19 21:39:52 +0000 UTCAlso, about the depowering thing. Why did they depower Tide? Exactly what did he do wrong? Nothing? That's what I thought.

2024-04-03 20:16:53 +0000 UTCBefore I listen to this, I just want to say, poor Mark. He was experimented on. He lost his wife TO his son's powers. His son was taken over by the very thing that killed his wife. And he tried so hard to get Ashe to stay safe but it just didn't work. And now he's in prison, for what exactly? Because he was associated with the overlord?? I don't think Mark even hurt a single person.

Filpe's biggest hater
2023-11-16 16:08:22 +0000 UTCI honestly only went to the comments to see if I was the only one that thought Grizz's take left a sour taste in my mouth. Glad to see people speaking in mark's defense.

2022-11-21 19:11:25 +0000 UTCI'm in love with all the Mark Winters apologists in the comments, but, seriously, irrational paranoia is a hallmark of Prime Defenders, specifically William at that.

2022-10-06 12:31:37 +0000 UTCI absolutely agree. It has been interesting to see them push some of the blame onto Mark. I would be interested to see the Prime Defenders consider the fact that Ashe’s possession may be partly their fault.

2022-09-27 06:07:20 +0000 UTCMark is such an interesting character. From his perspective, he lost his wife tragically and, in response, he felt the need to become very protective of his son, who was closely connected to a dangerous power. His views and actions, while wrong, come from a place that make sense. You can’t fault the guy for trying to protect what’s left of his family. Mark goes about it the wrong way, and ends up smothering and restricting Ashe which may partly have been the cause of his choice to become a hero. However I really would never say that Mark holds the entire blame for Ashe’s possession. Arguably the Prime Defenders do hold some of that blame too, as well as Ashe himself. I can’t help but feel sympathy for the guy. At the end of the day this man who has lost everything just wants his family back.

2022-09-24 22:23:11 +0000 UTCPersonally I really like Wavelength and I like seeing things from his perspective. A lot of the time his backstory seems ignored- he was a normal husband and father whose son accidentally got himself possessed and killed his wife. Mark, stuck with no way to look into what the book was or meant, had to be a single father whose son was suddenly in extreme danger and could potentially be extremely dangerous to other people. Confining Ashe to his house and becoming a villian weren't good choices by any means, but he tried to do what he could and he ended up sacrificing his old life and his humanity to keep Ashe safe from villians.

2022-09-23 15:28:18 +0000 UTCEven then i dont think mark is a terrible dad. Sure not the best but he seems genually to love and care for his son. He doesnt entirly know what hes doing or if its right but its the only thing he can do to keep his son safe. He even saved the PD quite a few times. He is a good person in a bad situation and i feel bad for him

2022-09-23 00:45:55 +0000 UTCEven though it was terrible for Ashe, and left him no room to grow, Marks way of thinking wasn’t stupid at all, just very toxic. Really all the pds did was prove him right, the moment that they got involved mark got put in danger, and they pulled Ashe into it (literally took him to the SPIRIT WORLD for his first adventure). Then Ashe got shot, and when marks final attempt to take Ashe out of it failed, he lost him to the trickster, and then got put in jail. Sure overlord was taken out, but all the gang has done is do exactly what mark didn’t want to happen, and then mark and Ashe had to pay for it.

2022-09-22 14:32:10 +0000 UTCI dunno, it makes me sad that they hate him out of character so much, but maybe i just misunderstood wavelength and assigned better qualities than he actually has to him.

2022-09-22 13:31:46 +0000 UTCDo i have a fundamental misunderstanding of Mark Winters’ character? He’s a villain, he’s far too over protective of his son, but I can’t help but think he’s caring deep down? It’s been a HOT minute since i watched S1 but didn’t he save and protect these random teenagers keeping him prisoner? Didn’t he and Tide Co-parent them for a little while? He kept his son away from the world (which is bad) but didn’t they both go through a traumatic event where ashe’s book killed his mom? It’s not good but wasn’t he just trying to keep his son safe in his unhealthy way. But at the end of the day, his son started hanging out with the prime defenders and getting out there in the world Mark tried to keep him from and then he beefed it. I think Mark Winters suffered a terrible event, loves his son very much, and expressed those feelings in a bad way, but I do not understand why they find him so irredeemable??

2022-09-22 13:29:56 +0000 UTCCan't wait for Vincents absolute anti hero arc. Really excited to see where bizzly shifts the tone this time around, really enjoying the dark shift recently. Also super impressed by his ability to be such an asshole to these little shits as NPC's. Keep it coming 👑

2022-09-22 06:27:01 +0000 UTCOh, I’m very excited for more character growth! I was afraid that the characters were starting to settle into a “goofball all the time” dynamic, but now faced with these grim and morally gray realities, the comedic bits oddly feel more fitting. A bunch of teens trying keep their spirits high with jokes as to not be crushed by the immense weight of what they’re starting to deal with. Dakota, ironically, seems to be the first to start to buckle, although I’m not sure what that necessarily means for him… I guess we’ll just have to ro- *gunshot* I’m so invested in where y’all are going with these characters! I hope you keep on having fun and making stories!
