Patreon Patch Notes: What If's and DM Note Frequency

This is an update that is very overdue, as we've been away from doing What If's for a few months now, and are looking to change the way we handle them. What If's were meant to be for playing out fun scenarios, but the fact of the matter is that most of the time we were more invested in playing the main campaign, and didn't have a solid idea for what we could do for What If's any given month. Given this, and the fact that What If's would take a normal upload from the $5 patrons, we've decided:
1. To move the What If's to the $5 tier, so they are accessible to all patrons when we do do them.
2. What If's will only be done when we have a fun idea for them, and when we want to do them. They will not be a monthly thing.
That being said, we've also been talking as of late about picking up and doing a monthly one-shot based campaign. This campaign would feature a recurring cast of characters, and swapping DMs. The essential idea is that our characters; Proprietors of a Bounty Hunting business, would trek out once per month to take on a quest. The fun part of this campaign is that we would give you (The Patrons) a poll on which quest they take, and depending on which of the 4 quest options you choose (Each pitched by a different DM) will determine who DMs for that given session. It is essentially all of us putting our world building ideas and elements together to make one big crazy wacky world, and a small group of bounty hunters who do odd jobs within it. This campaign is extra content that will be uploaded along side our regular uploads, and will be in the $10 tier (My mistake, I had thought it was a $5 tier reward, but I asked the boys for clarification and it will be $10)
Regarding DM Notes for the $25 Tier, and Frequency of Other Rewards
DM notes are posted at the DMs discretion. Grizzly prefers to post once an arc is over, and Bizly once a chapter is over. If you would prefer that they are posted monthly instead (As a $25 patron), then let us know in the comments or via messages. I do personally read them all and it is the best way to get in touch with us for questions or concerns regarding patreon rewards. We have also decided, with the new concept art and thumbnail art that we have rolling in every week for every episode, that we will do our best to post the thumbnail and character design/concept art every week along with the episode. We apologize for delays that have happened with that.
That's basically all for now, thank you for your support and patience while we sort out some things behind the scenes with the patreon.

Polls would be available to those who are able to access the campaign yes. Unsure who would be editing the one shots, v likely to be Tizen, given he is editing both CoC and PD rn and is alright with that workflow. What If's may replace the patreon upload for the week, yes. I am not sure though it really depends on how we're able to schedule things out. We've been recording 3 times a week lately to get through the CoC campaign, so this basically changes it that we are 2 times a week most weeks, but 3 times a week once per month for this campaign. ~C

Is the plan to have one character each throughout all the bounty hunter oneshots or will you change up the party alongside with the DM? Also, I assume the polls would also be $10 tier and up too? Who would be editing the oneshots? If and when What If's return at any point, will they still replace the main patreon campaign for that week, as before? Bonus question: How do you plan on putting more hours in a day and more days in a week to get all this done? This seems like a ton of work, so I wholeheartedly wish you ALL the best of luck.

It's personally quite helpful for maintaining the wiki And good information to know in general, helps with keeping track of stuff like Levels and such especially, more easily. Also, we never saw Prime Force ones -- which are some I'm really really curious about and would be really helpful! Don't know if you want to keep them secret, but yeah. Thanks!

I do enjoy what ifs, but it kinda sucks that it means skipping an episode once a month. I'd rather stick with consistent PD uploads (or whatever main campaign) than have the bounty hunters once a month

DM swapping, having four people expanding the world together, letting us VOTE for it — as soon as that starts, i might go back to my $10 tier for sure... anyways thanks for the update guys! it's nice to know what's going on behind the scenes and have a clear view of upcoming content to patreon. 2022-09-14 05:13:17 +0000 UTCi think these are really good! personally although the end of arc/chapter notes might be a little easier to digest, i think it's fairer to have them uploaded each month to give the $25 patrons the benefits they are paying for. even if stuff is spoilered out, i think it'd be cool to see over each month less and less be spoilered out in the notes as the arc/chapter goes on, and then end of arc/chapter we'd get everything- if that makes sense? also, i'm ditto on wanting to see character sheets !! that's all /nf obviously, but i think would really make it worth it :]

Not to be critical or rude, but the extra content is why I pay for this tier moving the what ifs to $5 is fine and understandable because those don’t get posted super often, and the one shot stuff seems really cool, but if it’s $5 then it just doesn’t seem worth it to be a $10 tier

I'm also glad to see more stuff for the 5 dollar patrons to maybe get new members in the door. I want to see more people join the patreon and for jrwi to prosper.

Personally I have no issue with just the rolleds, it’s one of my favourite parts of patreon content butttt I can see it being an issue for a few people? Maybe the monthly one shot games could be $10 tier to avoid this but idk i imagine its hard to find a good balance for the tiers so that’s just something that you may wanna think about. Also although the new one shots sound like a super fun idea, please take care of yourselves and don’t feel like you have to put out a tonne of content, I would much rather two campaigns being put out with more consistency than 3 campaigns + extra content with less consistency 💕

Also I like the DM notes being posted how they are now rather than monthly because it’s easier to digest imo, also it’s more fun to read when we have the context of the whole arc. If it were monthly it’d probably be a lot more work for the DM as they’d have to blur our a lot of parts of their notes if it’s mid arc lol

That being said, if it was something that might affect the campaign or be too difficult to sort out (because of spoilers and such) it would be understandable if that had to stop
