His hands with different attacks kind of reminded me of a Beholder’s eyes, plus the lore for him was super interesting from what we saw. I’m looking forward to seeing the other intern and the Doctor! Also, super excited to see Chip grab Magic Initiate. That works so well for him I think.

2022-08-08 13:40:24 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t imagine so. Per the wording of the card, likely only a Wish spell can reverse it. But then again, only a Wish spell can locate Gillion. So it’s possible they’ll either get their hands on Wish somehow or Grizzly will change it up.

2022-08-07 04:24:11 +0000 UTCI actually think Chip picking up magic makes perfect sense character-wise, even if it wouldn’t explain why he could suddenly cast spells out of nowhere. Chip has previously hinted at an interest in magic, in the episode where they fought Dugon. Chip tried to understand how Gil casted lay on hands, and even tried to cast it himself. Also I feel like the crew keeps ending up in scenarios which encourage the use of magic. At the very least I think chip may have noticed the puppeteer’s resistance to non-magical damage, and I think that would have cemented in his head that having no magic is one of his greatest weaknesses.
