Daytona 24h 1967 - Chevrolet Corvette GS #8

While the GS programme ended prematurely a few years earlier, it wouldn't mark the competition end for the big wannabe Cobra killer. At the 1967 Daytona 24h, one Jim White Chevrolet dealer sponsored GS (chassis 004) appeared at the WSC race. Due to engine troubles all through practice and qualifying, it failed to set a time and started all the way back in 61st place.
Naturally, with that great start one could expect the car to not make it to the finish. And it didn't, only making it to lap 72.
