One of the best cliffhangers of the series!! The story Jack told Kate was when he did his first surgery and he ruptured a girl's dural sac. He was afraid, but he counted to 5 to let the fear run it's course so that he could then continue. He sewed her up and she was fine.

LOVE this episode. Shamonda and Ralph, “confused” is correct, 😉😁 Also, Shamonda you crack me up so much with hygiene comments! *Fish biscuits DO NOT make the #cleanloving list!*😂❤️Kate’s backstory on this one is one of my favorites - it’s the first time that Kate seems to be genuinely happy. (Nathan Fillion!😍) The gift of a honeymoon in Costa Rica would require a passport for “Monica.” Kate is always on the run, but this time she ran not just to protect herself, but to protect Kevin too. Also, this is the first episode with the others where I feel like Jack truly has the upper hand and he channels his “inner Rick Grimes” to get the radio. The biggest thing that stood out for me was that Jack was happy to let Ben die, and even taunt him about it, UNTIL he saw Kate with Sawyer on the CCTV. With all of the mind games Ben is playing, it seems too convenient with the timing of him getting an intercom call, unlocked doors, no one in the video room and even getting a gun. Recall that Ben told Jack he ”wanted him to WANT to do the surgery,” and suddenly there is a situation that creates something that Jack needs from Ben - Jack now WANTS to do the surgery, and then cuts Ben’s kidney sack, and he’s in control, and that scene was FIRE!🔥 Last little comment, but dang Josh Holloway kills me in this part... his character runs his mouth a lot, but his expressions are so authentic. The shot of him, kneeling in the rain, gun to his head, begging Kate to close her eyes is powerful as heck! Terry O’Quinn is also AMAZING at conveying so much with just a look.
