EXP Update - April 7th 2025

Hello Patrons! 

It’s Chris here once again, with another update on life at EXP. 

Here’s what you might have missed from the last month or so, and what’s coming soon (it's loads).

Thanks once again to each and every one of you, including all our new Patrons, for signing up to the Patreon and joining us as we build EXP. We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating- we literally couldn’t do this without you all and your support. We really appreciate the faith you’ve all shown, and we really hope you’ve been enjoying it all.

Records were once again sent tumbling over the past month as the Director’s Cut Edition of our episode on Escape From Tarkov clocked in at an eye-watering 1 hour 12 minutes - and only around 60% of that runtime was taken up by Jonathan sighing in exasperation at Dave’s frankly astonishing Greece/grease pun.

We also loved the response to our episode on the Cursed Guns of Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, and it was great to be joined on Respec by Anton, the game’s Project Lead. As many of you will have seen by now, Anton recently made a little April Fool’s update to the game inspired by our chat on that edition of the podcast, and rest assured we’ll be showing that to Jonathan ASAP.

Lastly, it was great to be joined by so many of the Extended Episode and VIP Patrons for our first Production Meeting, which started relatively professionally (present) but quickly devolved into absolute nonsense about chairs. All of which brings me neatly on to…

This Really Could Have Been An Email

What’s next?

This Friday, Jonathan’s got his archeology brush out to examine the whip-cracking fun of Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, followed by a look at Rebellion’s latest offering Atomfall next week. 

Surely this will make the curatorial part of Jonathan's brain itch...

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.

We’re very excited to announce that our first video with our new expert Toby Capwell will arrive on Patreon on 15th April. If you’re not sure who Toby is, don’t worry, as this first video is a bit of an informal chat, and will serve as a perfect introduction to his work and expertise ahead of his first episode of Expert Reacts. 

As for that first episode itself–well, there was only really one game we could show him, right? Armour Expert Reacts to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will arrive on Patreon 22nd April, and in both Extended and Early Access editions as usual. 

That’s not all we showed Toby, either…
