2025-07-28 04:10:02 +0000 UTCI'm too high maintenance for backpacking and long hikes but I had a random thought today when I was on a mini hike. Those things football players push across the gym would be great for uphill resistance training! Even just carrying too much when you're in the airport is exhausting but I would very much end up overpacking if I was backpacking. Also something that is a necessity for me is anti chaffing powder (I use the anti monkey butt brand) it helps for the feet and thighs but also armpits! I've had the issue of mine getting rubbed raw and it made me very cranky. Worth the weight imo. You can also get a small bottle of talc free baby powder and that's okay too. I usually just apply with a powder puff
