Since Olivia is obviously very familiar with Taylor’s writing and is aware of gaylor lore, I found it interesting to see some lyrics on GUTS that could have been inspired by Taylor lyrics, particularly lyrics that are important to gaylors. Mentioning daisies and being “hidden in plain sight”, in a song with a female name as the title?? Olivia really said, “Why should Karlie have all the fun baiting gaylors? I wanna do it too!” Also “fair-weather friends” in making the bed stood out to me because I just rewatched Rep tour and Taylor uses that term in the video that plays before Getaway Car.

2023-09-11 21:02:51 +0000 UTCThis album makes me feel like I’m 16 and angry/sad. Which at times I love very much much ☺️. Overall though at 26 years old, I hardly feel angry/sad like I did as a teenager, so I won’t be listening to it often. Olivia is a hugely talented writer and singer though!

2023-09-10 02:07:31 +0000 UTCI can see how for some people this has potential to be a no skip album! The more angsty teen rock songs are growing on me, I’m just old lol. I think she has such a beautiful voice, and I love the ballads, but imo they’re all starting to blend into a version of drivers license. Overall, I’ll be listening to the grudge until my ears bleed.
