Feels like she wanted to marry him but he didn’t and she just fooled herself into thinking that was her choice but then realised it really wasn’t and didn’t want to pretend anymore. I obviously don’t know her but from the anxious attachment she displays in songs it seems plausible to me, to avoid breaking up and losing him for good
