PRO DOOM: LEGACY OF RUST

After fighting Adobe Premiere tooth-and-nail for the last 24 hours, I am proud to finally present the longest and likely most blood-soaked episode of Pro Doom ever.

Adobe Premiere, unlike most other software I've used, decided that when I press "CTRL+S" and it said that it saved the project, it did not, in fact, save anything, which set me back about 24 hours. The video itself takes 5-6 hours to properly render because I was dumb and put a bunch of effects that people probably won't notice. (It's the flying musical notes! They change color!)

This video also took a little longer than I thought because I had a hundred stupid little gags, long gameplay clips, and a surprising amount to say about the new episodes as well as the new port. I didn't expect to see either, but that's the magic of QuakeCon!

The magic of QuakeCon didn't seem to include much Quake this year. As I'm writing this, I had to do a quick search to see that Bethesda did announce a weapon skin and a new map for Quake Champions. And I was going to say there was no Quake news!

I was pretty hyped about new classic Doom content. Nightdive, Machinegames, and id? New monsters? New weapons? Expanded mod support so I can play Simpsons Doom on my Switch?

Currently have three different videos on the backburner. I'm not sure there will be two spooky vids this year because the one I'm already working on is looking to be pretty big. And it's not even a shooter! Can't wait for Nightdive to drop that The Thing remaster and fuck up my plans. Worst case scenario is that the bigger October video comes out in early November. 'Tis the season for pumpkin spice and violence!

Hoping to do an Exophobia video and something Duke3D related in the meantime. The Duke3D-related video started life as a "What's Civvie Playing" that spiraled way out of control. It involves something I discovered back when I was working on the Zero Hour video.

Doom, however, comes first.

The children yearn for DOOM.
