Yea I did think I didn't quite get it right ha, my bad. It's a crazy situation to be in.

Not to get all pedantic on ya, but the actual line from Chuck is "if it's not real, then... what have I done?" By which I think he means 'why have I shaped my whole life for the past 2+ years around something that has no physical existence in the world? And how do I proceed knowing my brain might be lying to me?'

Yea life does seem to screw him over and he is very good at the slipping way, but it always comes back to bite him! The idea has been planted! I may be....but I've trusted Chuck before and he proved me wrong on several occasions ha...so I'm a bit wary of him. I have not seen it, I'm not sure if Claire has. Yea I can imagine it's a very tough thing to deal with. The comment at the end he says did get to me though "what did I do wrong?" Yea it took me a sec to piece it together, I did initially miss the line about the 8 years but luckily Claire heard it, after that I realised what he was doing. Love the Mike stuff!

This episode really demonstrates to Jimmy how going about things the "proper" way gets him screwed over time & again, but the colourful, "slippin'" way is more effective because he's so good at it. Here he gets a first taste of making quick money by helping criminals using his knowledge of the legal system. Sound like someone we know? :P I think Tony's perhaps being a bit harsh on Chuck & his recovery. Have either of you ever seen A Beautiful Mind? It's a movie that gives good insight into the difficulty of fighting a mental illness I think. When your brain tells you something is hurting you, it's almost impossible to train yourself to dismiss it as not real because that decision also takes place in your brain. Chuck now knows the pain he feels isn't based off of any actual stimulus, but is entirely placebo. However, knowing that doesn't make it instantly vanish, particularly if there's a deeper rooted problem causing it. But knowing that you're actually physically healthy would make you want to get back to normal asap, so I sympathise with Chuck there and don't think he's necessarily putting on a performance to simply get cleared by the Dr. After all, he called her for help. He certainly is improving, as shown by the grocery trip. Aaaaand then the insurance bombshell :O You did get the thing about Mike. It's very subtly done, but yes Mike remembers the good samaritan when Anita tells the story of her husband, so he agrees to help Dan "A.K.A Pryce" so that he can meet with Nacho & get the burial details off him. He does it to assuage the mourning of that person's family so they don't struggle for years like Anita has.
