Blooper + sneak peek
Added 2025-11-09 03:10:27 +0000 UTCI once promised Patrons bloopers, but I removed that membership benefit for a simple reason:
I do not make mistakes.
A joke. I just don't laugh when I mess up? I flub a line, I do it again, it's not interesting.
However, I just returned from my second trip to Big Bend National Park where I filmed Part Two of my Apache Wars trilogy. Lots to be done, but it will be completed by the end of the month. The script is stronger than Part One because I get to go into more detail and I think I do a better job describing the personalities of the key players.
Filming had more issues than Part One, though. The lens is a bit dirty for the first 20 minutes of footage and, in general, I think I spent too much time looking for "cool" filming locations and triple-checking everything. Furthermore, as I will say in the video "My reach has exceeded my SD card storage." I'll have to get a bigger one for Geronimo! I'll be using the break between semesters to travel to Arizona and Oklahoma. The good news is that I'll have a little more time to make sure the script is perfect and I'll have much more footage of actual locations these events took place at. The bad news? The video will be in January instead of December, but after all this time I think it's warranted to really get the finale right.
What you'll see here is the opening joke, then a clip of me almost breaking my neck on some rocks, and, finally, me talking about these damn plants. The one in the video is NOT the one that filled my foot with thorns! It was a more innocuous-looking little bush which got me. Like a 1/2-inch long thorn in the top of my foot, it was ridiculous.
Regardless, thank you for your support. I'll need it when I inevitably break a leg climbing over rocks with a tripod in my hand.
December will be a Yeehaw Intermission. There will be a video! It'll just be something a bit different, more in-line with "A Fascinating Anatomy of Failure" or "Please Watch (I can't do titles). So, a 20-ish minute video essay about death and this Indian burial ground that I think is interesting.
Thanks a ton for your support, it makes these more ambitious and strange videos possible! On one hand, it would be easier to sit in front of a whiteboard in my apartment, but I think the beauty of the American Southwest is a wonderful backdrop for this story and I'm thankful to be able to tell it this way. There will be a little whiteboard stuff in this video though, as I need to establish some details. I'll be buying a real green chalkboard again soon though.
Thanks,
DJ PC

I got an artichoke spinach dip from Beau Jo's the other day. It comes in a bread bowl of woven pizzacrust. I also got a peach cobbler. I hope you received royalties, but I suspect any money owed was intercepted by those ghouls which staff the IRS. Back when I was sauntering about the desolate frozen kingdom of British Columbia, I started the process to subscribe to your Patreon. I was interrupted by an ill timed handjob and the arrival of a butter chicken pizza from the restaurant connected to my motel room. Returning now, after fondly remembering the peach cobbler I received in the kingless land of my birth, I realize all the patreon prices are still listed in those Canadian dollaridoos that pass for currency in such a god forsaken, cursed land. As I dawn my Cobbler Crown™ and proclaim myself King newly Arisen, I offer up my prayer that the man doomed to deliver my 11 or 12 CAD presses it tightly into your cold and sweaty hands, maintaining eye contact, and placing upon your cheek a silent kiss. Inshallah my brother.

2025-11-22 22:00:33 +0000 UTCDear DJ Meat Gobbler, I think you might be my father. I want nothing more than to have a man to look up to, and you have proven to be a very tall and also clearly a responsible role model. Bring back the cobbler crackdown for one final airing or I WILL make Donald go down on you. Ok bye dad.

2025-11-18 21:30:48 +0000 UTCWhen you began looking into the Apache with "The Skull Measuring Cowboy" I had this thought but it keeps coming back to me: You also really liked the "Apache Tears" episode of Hardcore History, huh? I can see why these stories, people and places have so thoroughly captured your imagination. Excited to hear your Cobbler Wisdom on location. Enjoy your travels though time and the southwestern deserts!

2025-11-11 19:11:58 +0000 UTC"A Fascinating Anatomy of Failure" is probably my favorite video of yours so I am overjoyed to hear that you will still make more videos in that direction.

2025-11-10 06:59:59 +0000 UTCYou always look into the personalities and the little details of the historical figures that you mention in your videos, which i appreciate, it is often very easy to forget that these where once real people like any of us, having the same little quirks. Anyway glad you didn't snap your neck in half and didn't end up paralyzed in a wheel chair, keep up the good work man!

2025-11-09 14:18:28 +0000 UTCIf you left some of these in, I don't think I'd mind. I actually kind of enjoy when you just fall off off the train of thought. The big box and high production value stuff that's perfect just doesn't have the charm of some dude eating crayons in his apartment
