Ever feel like doing anything on Public Education? Would love to share with you what I know about the trend of using fake or non-existent research to justify major changes to American Education that are a lot more about people who try to take credit for pretending to do something they don't know how to do than anything about educating kiddos. Here's some stuff to wet your whistle: https://www.thisamericanlife.org/207/special-ed (Pretty self-explanatory) https://hanushek.stanford.edu/publications/teachers-schools-and-academic-achievement (This study was the backing for the Teacher Effectiveness Measure, which was the backing for most teacher evaluation metrics, school turnaround efforts and the push for charters/vouchers. Look at his numbers and see if you agree that teacher quality is the most important component of education. Also, take a look at what has happened to teacher quality since) My personal favorite: Google "Differentiated Instruction", "Learning Styles", and "Multiple Intelligence". Then google all three again, but include the word "research". I promise, all of this shit is wild and its all now the basis for our education system. Loved the latest video btw, that shit was gripping. Great job building to something and absolutely not disappointing. I need to fucking read Vonnegut. Missed him as a teenager and just haven't made the time to pick him up as an adult. Post the version with the bad parts in it!
