Piracy Update

Welp. I suppose I have been left in peace too long. A few years ago I had found out that my patreon posts were being uploaded to a secondary scraping website, but it had stopped around Feburary of last year and I was hopeful that I'd continue to be left alone...but it has been updated up to my newest post which means someone new has signed up and gave their key to scrape my patreon content within the last two weeks. This is a security issue I simply cannot tolerate. It not only uploads my images and summaries, they upload your comments too, with your usernames attached. If that is a worry for you, I recommend not commenting on my posts for a while.

This isn't about money. This isn't about me caring that others can see my stuff for free. The entire reason I made this patreon was to have a safe space to post my nsfw, where I was able to minimize the amount of people under the age of 18 from seeing it. This secondary site allows for the images to be found extremely easily via google image search and I've been contacted by multiple people who have warned me that they found nsfw art when looking up references of Kree and Clara to make fanart and such.

Patreon has not helped me. Google has not helped me. Both told me that this is an issue to take up with the host of the original website, but from what I've been able to find, those hosts have been known to be slippery/ potentially dox people who try to take legal action against them. I don't fully know what I'm going to do yet, but this is really making it difficult to feel safe posting nsfw on patreon. Patreon has been my main source of income for over 3 years, so making/moving to a different site and losing subscribers in the move would significantly tank my ability to pay my bills/ be able to continue making art full time, but it may be worth it in order to have some sort of peace. I'm not sure.

I am writing all this very soon after finding out about it updating again, so perhaps I'm being a bit over-emotional, but I'm just tired of not feeling safe to post what I want. I will likely try to erase this from my mind in order to continue working while figuring out a solution, but I doubt I will post anything super explicit until I have some sort of solution that isn't "ignore it".
