SnowingPine Website Update

Tyr here, the developer of Snowing Pine.
TLDR: We’re pausing content on Snowing Pine until we can figure out what’s going on and pushing the extra chapter to Patreon.
Now for the longer explanation:
We recently chose to expand the site to include multiple writers, which is awesome, but that did mean I could no longer use the same authentication system we used back then, since that was patreon-creator specific.
So I took the previous week to brainstorm how to properly integrate a new system where one single login could automatically check on many patreons. Eventually, we built an integration with Auth0 (a fairly reputable authentication platform, it even has passkeys, yay!) We used webhooks to authenticate your data and cross reference your email with Patreon records to see which writers you were subscribed to.
The unfortunate thing here is that not everything seemed to work out well when we pushed the update earlier today. For me, and everyone else who tested the update, it worked - but apparently not for anyone else.
And we also got caught in a bit of bad timing. For the next few days, we’re ardently trying to meet the deadline and release DWBS Book 1 Audiobook, which is taking up all of our time.

2024-07-15 19:37:12 +0000 UTCthe system is very inconsistent right now it seems if it can't save the cookie of your login, it seems to not go well very very weird I will need to properly dive into the documentation, but that takes time unfortunately - Tyr
