Bara Style Challenge - XYZBud (COMPLETED!)
Added 2024-06-10 21:53:18 +0000 UTCOkay, I will say it: I failed at XYZBud's style! 🤣 I'm not even ashamed to admit it, I saw it when I was halfway through, I debated starting over, but I liked where it was going so I decided to finish it. In my defense, it was hard for me to pinpoint XYZ's style cause they have so much range. Details like the linework and shading can look very different (to me) from one piece to another. I've also noticed that we approach anatomy in a very different way which made it hard for me to use my usual shortcuts.
But anyway, I hope you enjoy this "sorta" XYZBud Finn. I know I'm glad to be done with this challenge! As fun as it was, checking something off my to-do list is really a feeling that can't be beat.
It was a great learning opportunity though. For all of you who are artists too, I strongly recommend giving this challenge a try. I feel like it has really helped me improve my own art style to the point where if I were to redraw that first Finn in my own style, he'd likely look different now.
