NEW COLONY SYSTEM

I want to tell you what to expect in the new version of the colony and discuss with you the necessary changes in the existing structure.

I will say right away that we will not touch all the existing achievements of the colonies and the new system aims to supplement the existing model. Changes affect some management systems to improve the structure of the game.

And so, in the future version will have to reduce the number of colonists in the colony. The main reason - in a large number of colonists there is no need. On the contrary, the more of them, the more difficult to manage them, and sometimes even impossible.
According to our observations, mainly a small group of colonists is used and the rest play the role of ballast.

We think it’s worth making the game more fun and not focusing exclusively on reproduction.
Thus, the colony gets more life and diversity.

We made some changes in the system of professions of the colony. Now the colonists are divided by factions, and the factions have internal professions.

There were new factions - Citizens and Escorts.

Citizens - in this faction all the new colonists of your colony are automatically distributed. Employees of other factions are appointed from this faction.

Escort - Faction created to set the mood for your colonists and as a small business for your colony.

The remaining factions remain in the same directions in which they were. Farmers, Miners, Breeders, Astronauts, Scientists, Military.

In order to add more life to the colony, we added several values ​​affecting the events in the city.
The main meaning is the mood of the Citizens. Mood influences the livelihoods of the colony and individual fractions.

A bad mood increases the level of dissatisfaction with the administration of the colony and provokes crime on the streets of the city. Crime naturally has a negative impact on the reputation of the colony.
To control the crime situation, you will need the Police (Military Faction). There will not be many of them, but they will suppress criminal elements. To prevent problems with crime, try not to upset the citizens much and keep them in a good mood.

A good mood affects loyalty to the city administration, increases efficiency and reputation.

So that the mood of citizens is always in an elevated state, it is necessary to hold city events - parties, concerts, festivals.
For many parties, you will need Prostitutes (Escort Faction). In addition, prostitutes will bring a small income to the treasury of the colony.

So, if you want your Miners to work better, take some Beer, Girls and arrange a small party for them. They will appreciate it. ;)

We will add the opportunity not only to observe the fun of your colonists, but also to personally take part in the event. For example, join an orgy or become a star of the Porn Festival.

We will also add the ability to interact with the colonists in the city. I'm about sex. It will not be an easy task for you, but doable without much difficulty.

As for the overpopulation of the colony, then there is no need. It basically only complicates the process of the game and makes it boring and routine.

In the new version of the colony the opportunity to have numerous colonies will remain, but there will be no need for this. Because a large number of colonists will require more attention and expense on your part.
In the new version of the colony, we have made changes to the resource extraction system. On the Farm and Mine will be able to produce different products.

A variety of products will be required for the production of materials necessary for the development of the colony. For example. For the festival will require alcohol, which can be made from wheat.
In order to make the process of the game more interesting, we will limit the possibility of producing simultaneously different products. You will be able to develop in one of the areas of production of a certain resource and compete in the market. In this way, we get a market system where the colonies trade between each other the goods they need.

As well as in the City, you can personally take part in harvesting or mining, or influence the quality of work of your employees.

We will make fundamental changes in the management system of the colonists. The current system is inconvenient and has remained since the times when colonists could not change professions. Associated with this is the system of hostels, workouts and other uncomfortable moments associated with the work of the colonists in the colony.

You will also need complete statistics on the life of your colony. She will be presented in the administration building. You will be able to analyze the situation in the colony and take the necessary measures to solve existing problems.

This system is very large and requires a lot of work. To save time, we will divide it into small pieces and load them separately. The first part is the most basic and large. This is the management system of the colony, the colony itself and its inhabitants. Next, we will supplement the colony with necessary activities and products.

I did not describe in detail some of the elements, because it does not concern the topic of this post, but we have taken into account many of the wishes that you expressed earlier.
