A missile was launched and it was currently falling towards the battlefield. Its target was none other than the Dellian soldiers. 

The soldiers felt fear as they witnessed how the missile slowly descended into their location. 

For a second, their lives flashed to their eyes. They suddenly realized that they were going to die. 

Fortunately, an illusory palace materialized and surrounded them. The temperature was 30° Celsius yet a sudden blizzard blew a terrifying cold. 

The soldiers instinctively hugged themselves to fight the cold.

They looked up and realized that the missile that was falling to their location was frozen in midair. The illusory ice palace disappeared and the missile completely fell. 

The soldiers tried to run and escape the explosion. However, the outcome was different from what they expected. 

Instead of exploding, the missile landed on the ground with a "thud" sound. Except that, it was chill as fuck...

The soldiers were dumbfounded. Yet they started yelling about the fact that they were alive.

"Phew..."

Marianne Francine took a deep breath after she cast her 3rd Term Attribute. She just recently acquired this ability and she couldn't use its complete power. 

Her breathing was cold and even her body emitted bone-chilling coldness that could freeze a person to death. 

She didn't master the new power so she was having a drawback. It might take at least a year for her to use her new power without a problem. 

But for now, Marianne Francine would settle with H²O-Bullets and Surround Freeze Term Attributes. 

'Tch, I really hate that this war suddenly happened. Unlike Scarlett, I didn't have the time to explore my new ability... Damn, I miss Calix.'

She was depressed because she could not see Calix. Her feelings for him changed after the airship-hijacked incident.

There were medics on the battlefield and most of them were capable of Healing. However, the sheer number of people getting injured and dying was too much for the medics to handle. 

The fact that Marianne was emoting in the middle of the battlefield was insanity. Perhaps she was affected by the mood as well. All she wanted was to hug Calix and be together with him. 

Then, another missile was incoming. Yet this one was different compared to earlier. 

The siren echoed on both sides. The soldiers from Junian immediately fled the scene, the same with the Dellians. 

"Tch!"

Marianne realized that this place was dangerous. With her natural strength and the help of her battlesuit, she quickly ran away from the missile. 

The target of the missile was the Dellians, of course. To be precise, their camp. 

"The Cannon!"

Someone screamed at the top of his lungs. This missile was different because of its size alone. It was ten meters tall and it had a dreadful aura around it. Every time this missile flew past them, they sensed a terrifying energy. 

Even Marianne was not confident that her luck could survive the explosion. 

'To make it worse, my luck already expired two days ago!'

In this war, Marianne almost lost her life so many times. The enemy's sides mostly targeted her. It was a miracle that she survived all of their attacks and assassinations. 

In fact, she knew that the chances of surviving this missile would be very small once it touched the ground.

Thankfully, the soldiers from Dellia knew that someone was going to protect them from the danger.

Thousands of giant birds shot to the sky. These birds were covered in flame, they were like shooting stars in the sky. Yet they were going up, instead of falling down. 

Each bird was 25 meters in size and they were all going straight to the missile to activate its explosion before it could affect the battlefield. 

The birds struck the missile until it stopped its descent. Because of heat and impact against the birds of fire, the missile exploded in midair. 

A terrifying shockwave attacked the place. Marianne flew across the place. A portion of the battlefield caves in. Even though the missile didn't hit the ground and exploded in the sky, the destruction it brought altered the topography of the land. 

At this moment, everyone realized that only DemiGods could change the outcome of this war. 

Someone like Robinson Bronal, who could prevent the Cannon, could make a change. 

"Damn it... I feel like one of my ribs cracked."

Marianne winced as she looked at the sky. The aftereffects of the explosion were so obvious. The natural clouds parted and a mushroom cloud made of dust formed in the center.
