The Animation looks different from the first 3 seasons because they were made by 2 seperate animation studios. Witt did the first 3 seasons and Mappa did the 4th. Mappa is also doing the animation for Jujutsu Kaisen.

I think the moments where you say the animation looks weird is because in those parts they are using cgi (computer-generated imagery)

Hi @Nicolas, I just read this somewhere but if you look closely to Armin Colossal Titan compared to Bertholdt Colossal titan it doesn't have ears. Armin doesn't want to hear the scream and cry of all the victims of his attack.

MAPPA use CGI for titans this season compared to WIT’s hand drawn for seasons 1-3. This season was rushed because they were making Jujutsu Kaisen already when they were brought AOT. Part 2 of the season from episode 18 takes a massive jump in animation quality

The animation of Eren and the other titans looks "weird" because season 4 was done by a new studio (MAPPA). They are using cgi to animate the titans. The previous seasons were made by WIT studio and they only used cgi on the colossal titan scenes. If you remember, he looked "weird" and different than the other titans back then too
