Just to have mentioned it, the worms/leeches focusing on Leafa's lower body were entirely anime original, like the entire scene of the second round of worms attacking her was just this in the novel: "Dee let go of the girlโs hair and turned the fingers of that hand into more of the hideous worm things. With more wet smacks, the five new tentacles stabbed into the girlโs skin." And I mean you can see in later scene's that there is no tentacle going after Leafa's genital area, so they really just did it for no reason at all. Kind of said how they cut out like 50% of Asuna's fight scenes, slaughtering enemies while using herself as a human shield to protect the Human Empire army, not even stopping in her tracs even when impaled by lances. She would have never fought from the second row she was commanding the army from the frontline as their spear head and shield.
