If you're interested in learning more about Kioshi after you finish this series, they came out with 2 prequel Novels called "The Rise of Kioshi & "The Shadow of Kioshi". They also made a Novel about the previous Air Avatar "The Dawn of YangChen. (Saying her name isn't a spoiler). There is also a Graphic novel based after this series but before Korra. Its called "Avatar: Smoke and Shadow". Its cover is a bit spoilery so i wouldn't look that one up until you've finished the show

Start of covid they added ATLA to Netflix and the show exploded in popularity which probably had Nickelodeon execs drooling at the money to be made. So shortly after they did a podcast with Zuko and Korras voice actors and that did fairly well. Then they went crazy once they saw that people still loved the show and gave Mike and Brian free reign to do whatever.
