The end of Carnival
Added 2024-12-31 16:35:09 +0000 UTCHi all,
There is some administrative stuff I want to cover in addition to wishing you all a happy new year:
228 is the end of Carnival. I leave it to you to fill in the blanks about the teams adventures from this point onwards. I hope you've enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! It has been almost a year since I typed out the first chapter (which now makes me cringe when I read it!) but I think over the last twelve months the quality has improved considerably.
I'm going to share fairly rapidly, either today or tomorrow, the final free chapter of Six Souls that will go up on launch day on RR. The chapters that will be available at various tiers (I tweaked the tiers on patreon recently, ten bucks will get you five weeks advanced chapters of Six Souls) on launch day, up to chapter 21, will follow soon. I'm sorely tempted to release the story as soon as possible as I'm excited to see what readers think of it but I still have some admin type shit to do (arranging shoutouts on RR is top of my list, hit me up if you've got a story whose readers might be interested!). Maybe launching before the followers on Carnival clean up their follow lists at the final chapter is a good idea, maybe it isn't. This is new territory for me so I haven't set any solid plans!
I've paused billing for January so no one will be charged until 29.01.25. It seemed the fair thing to do as I don't know exactly when I'll start releasing more chapters of Six Souls at each tier but it will be in the next few weeks for sure. I hope you'll stick around and give it a go! Carnival was my first experiment in writing and I chose to go with a LitRPG apocalypse because I love that subgenre. Six Souls is isekai litRPG (another favourite of mine) and it's a lot of fun to write. I've got over 100k words completed and edited so the story will run for a long time if it receives a good reception!
All the best to you and yours! Happy new year!
Chris
