GODZILLA- CH-16. Am I a little to strong?
Added 2024-11-04 02:39:23 +0000 UTCEven for its own sake, the giant snake moved its body with some annoyance.
The underground cave was indeed large, but the exit was very small.
With the giant snake's current massive size, it couldn't get out smoothly.
However, it didn't care about that and crashed directly into the rock wall on one side of the cave.
Its scales were like knives, densely packed and flashing with cold light, standing upright like the sharp blades of thousands of knives.
Using these scales, it cut through the rocks and propelled its body forward, moving underground as freely as a fish in water.
By sensing vibrations on the ground, the giant snake quickly located the source of the greatest disturbance.
Then, following the sensation, the giant snake shot up from underground.
Boom!!!
It was like a whale leaping out of water, or the explosion of a high-powered bomb.
The moment the giant snake burst from the ground, the surrounding area within a radius of hundreds of meters collapsed, raising a massive cloud of dust.
Its appearance was so sudden that countless snake people and dinosaur people nearby were thrown into the air.
At this moment, the long-lost giant snake emerged onto the surface.
It was dark above ground. With the moonlight shining down, the giant snake felt uncomfortable for a moment, breathing in the dry air that was so different from the moist air of the cave.
But the discomfort soon passed.
Looking around at everything, the giant snake was momentarily stunned.
A ten-meter-tall dinosaur-man breathing fire?
What kind of creatures were these?
The giant snake was also bewildered by some of the primitive dinosaurs nearly fifty meters long.
Why was this so different from the blood prey it saw in the cave?
No wonder its people had called for help.
The giant snake understood and was only stunned for a moment.
Although the dinosaur-man was big, the giant snake was bigger.
Only one-fifth of its body was exposed above ground, yet that one-fifth alone stood nearly 100 meters tall.
After all, snakes aren't humanoid, so they have a definite advantage in terms of length.
But the overall thickness is proportional.
The giant snake's body was about thirty meters in diameter, and its full length was over five hundred meters.
But even at that size, it looked massive—enough to easily swallow a 50-meter dinosaur in one bite, though it might get stuck in its teeth.
As soon as the giant snake appeared, all the snake people and snake monsters present cheered.
The roars and excited expressions were beyond words, just like when the dinosaurs first saw James.
Their previously dampened spirits rose, and the atmosphere became lively.
Perhaps infected by the snake people's cheers, the giant snake opened its mouth in satisfaction and let out a strange hiss toward the sky.
The low-pitched tremolo in the hiss had an almost magical quality.
But right after the giant snake hissed, it heard a huge roar coming from the other side of the river in the distance, in the night.
It was the sound of James's footsteps.
Since the dinosaur people had stopped engaging with the snake people and no longer used fire, the thick smoke on the river had slowly dissipated under the night sky.
The moment James approached.
The figure that suddenly appeared, as if breaking through the clouds, brought a sudden silence across both sides.
At this moment, time seemed to freeze, and the air grew inexplicably tense.
The dinosaur people and snake people silently began to retreat behind their respective gods, moving away until only the two giant beast gods remained, staring at each other across the river.
The giant snake was stunned.
This was the first time it had seen another giant beast, and also the first time it had seen a creature as terrifying as James.
The giant snake didn't know as much about this world as James did.
Who could blame it? The snake was lazy and never ventured out.
But the giant snake had its own pride—it had never encountered a real enemy since ancient times.
While some giant beasts looked terrifying in size, most were no match for its venomous fangs.
So, when the giant snake first saw James, it felt a tremor of fear, but soon a calm and resolute light appeared in its eyes.
The bloodthirsty memories of ancient battles awoke, and now the giant snake's expression became serious, ready for a fight.
Neither side took the initiative to attack.
James held back, gathering strength.
This was evident in the fiery red light beginning to glow along his tail.
The same went for the giant snake.
It slithered fully out from the ground, its tail coiled, head raised high, eyes fixed on James.
At that moment, poisonous mist began pouring from its venom sacs in its chest and abdomen, while black smoke seeped from its nostrils.
James was equally serious when he first saw the giant snake.
It was the first time he'd seen something that looked like a massive, lethal cobra with a flat head and scales black as ink, clearly venomous.
Luckily, James thought his molten body would be highly resistant to poison.
There was no way he'd show any weakness now.
The beast and the snake locked eyes, and the air grew thick with tension.
"Damn!"
Suddenly, James discarded any thought of honor. The red light that had only covered half of his back surged instantly, and then he opened his mouth to release a huge fiery red ray aimed at the giant snake across the river.
Unfortunately, it wasn't atomic breath.
As the red flames erupted, James felt a pang of regret.
Yes, for now, he couldn't release white-hot beams. There wasn't enough magma or energy cores around to fuel it, so radioactive heat rays would have to do.
But that was enough.
Because the moment James spat out the heat rays, the giant snake, caught off guard, could only counter with a hurried, thick cylinder of black poisonous mist.
Predictably, the poisonous mist ignited and dispersed upon contact with the radioactive heat rays, instantly engulfing the giant snake in the blaze.
This is what you get for lacking foresight!
The giant snake's face took the full brunt of the radioactive heat, and its entire body was knocked to the ground.
The burning pain on its face and upper body made it scream in agony.
But there was no chance for it to recover. The terrifying beast James took a step across the river, grabbed the giant snake's vital point with one hand, and began pummeling its head with the other.
While striking the giant snake, James muttered to himself.
"Am I a little too strong?"
"Or is this giant snake just too weak?"
"Hey, you've grown so big for nothing! If you don't deserve a beating, who does?"
"Is this the war of gods?"
The four tribes watching were in awe of the battle scene between James and the giant snake.
The intense radiation illuminated the entire night sky. Though brief, the explosion's heat left a fierce fire raging over the area.
Amidst the flames, the deafening roar echoed, pounding in the ears of everyone who watched.
Somewhere downstream, a massive creature emerged from the water.
This giant had terrifying humanoid hands and a green, lizard-like head.
Its upper body was humanoid, with tall, fin-like structures on its back.
It had no legs but a long tail, shorter in proportion than a snake's.
Its whole body was green, with thick mucus coating its surface.
This terrifying creature was unlike anything James had seen before—a unique type of deformed giant beast.
As the giant lizard poked its head out, it stared coldly at the sea of fire in the distance.
Observing the clash between the two giant beasts, a look of deep contemplation flashed in the water lizard's eyes. Then, it raised its gaze to the night sky.
At that moment, the water lizard and the giant moth made eye contact.
There was mutual wariness in both their eyes, yet neither of the two giants left.
It seemed as if everyone was waiting for the end of this war between gods.
At the center of the battle, James couldn't help but sigh.
This giant snake was tough!
The earlier heat rays had failed to be fatal.
Its body, covered in black-gold scales harder than steel, was resilient and flexible.
After being beaten for a while, the giant snake finally began to retaliate.
