The Future of Apollo Seven Games

I had always planned to reevaluate how I use this patreon based on  a few things last year. The biggest being how the SFW version of TF Card Battle did, as well as how Futa Oasis performed. The idea was that I might convert things over to direct sales of finished games instead of the alpha as product model, or maybe transition out of the NSFW work space altogether. I've been running this patreon for about three years now and while it does give some money and I appreciate everyone who contributes to that, it doesn't really come close to supporting me financially.

But now The Monster Within has been out for about two months and I've released a big update, I have some new data that's led me to one conclusion. The Apollo Seven Games model is incredibly valuable to that game's current success.  Basically, a very high percentage of traffic and sales for it come directly from the TF Card Battle player base.  Which makes total sense, they liked one game, they should like the other.

So my plan for the future is to continue this model. Use Patreon to support development and build up an audience with the sexy version, then make a more polished general audience one later. And since I plan to make the majority of the game's money in the prude version, I intend to use the majority if not all the money from here on the games. I already spend a lot of the money on the games, but now more of what you contribute is going to go directly into more art for the games.

Unless Futa Oasis sells like crazy and I run off into the sunset with a giant bag of money, I'm not going to do that model again most likely. It was a nice idea, but if my end goal is having both the sexy and non-sexy versions, games like that aren't really ideal.

If things go well, I'm going to have a sort of two pillar system. One being the game that's pretty much complete and having the SFW version worked on, and one that's still in development and relies on the Patreon. Right now those two games are TF Card Battle and Naked Ambition. TF Card Battle is going to get support and updates until at least the full release of The Monster Within (October). And once that's done, Naked Ambition should be complete and I'll start work on Clothed Ambition. At that point TF Card Battle will sail off into the sunset, maybe. I might still work on it. And I'll start work on a new porn game to replace Naked Ambition's slot. Then once both that game and Clothed Ambition are done, I'll make a general audience version of that new game and start a new new game.

That's the plan anyway. Maybe it won't work in practice, but based on how things are going with The Monster Within, it seems like a good bet. So to summarize:

• TF Card Battle will keep getting it's renewed burst of attention and content.
• Once Naked Ambition is done I plan to make Clothed Ambition.
• During Clothed Ambition's development I'll still update Naked Ambition to keep eyes on it and bring eyes to Clothed Ambition too.
• During that development I'll start another big game that I plan to turn SFW too.

So that's the plan. Timing wise, I would like to get Naked Ambition done by October-ish I suppose, that would make the timing clean. Thanks for reading and as always, thank you for your continued support.
