I received some questions in my DMs about the fact that I eat KFC on Christmas, so I decided to explain.
This is a childhood custom that I acquired thanks to my parents, who used to take me to eat at KFC at this time of year. In my city, there were many foreign immigrants and a very strong Christian influence, and KFC also became quite important in solidifying this custom.
For those who know Japanese customs, this may seem obvious, since eating KFC on Christmas is a popular tradition in Japan. However, not all Japanese people follow this custom, and many do not even celebrate Christmas on this day. After all, Christmas is a Christian celebration, and not everyone in Japan is Christian. Furthermore, December 25th is not even a national holiday in Japan so... for many, it is just a regular work day.
This habit, despite having been taught by my parents, which is someone from whom I have been very emotionally distant for a long time, I still maintain it because it has always made me very happy. And since in Brazil it is a national holiday, I feel obliged to celebrate in my own unique way ~
