Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

We hope you enjoy the video!

What would do rather deal with snow like in band of brothers or pouring rain here

C. J. Ramirez

It's funny you should mention the environments are beautiful - most of the filming was done in Australia.

Steffen K

It's wild how bad you guys are with faces and names lol. They show an entire scene of Eugene Sledge screwing up in training and you guys immediately wonder if Eugene is going to be part of the episode lol

It was Gibson strangling the soldier earlier in the episode. Maybe part of the reason he lost the plot, tears at the soul doing things like that, even though you are at war and its considered 'fair game' Pacific theatre was far more horrific than the European theatre of war, was much better to be in Europe. Open field battles, tactics, fixed positions. Jungle was just a chaotic mess, with horrible diseases.

Alex

This was brutal - mostly the decline in physical and mental health to the point of severe burn out, exhaustion, or delirium. Bob Gibson was the one thst tried to steal the plane. Not sure who the guy was who strangled the Japanese soldier. Seeing the dire conditions these men had to live through was such a wake up call for me. I knew about it, but seeing it depicted was another thing. The wake up call for me is remembering to be grateful to have whatever I want to eat, a roof over my head, just being clean and dry is way more than these men had. I felt so sad during the interaction between Leckie and Gibson. They said so much just with their eyes. Tomorrow we will celebrate Thanksgiving in the US which is a day of giving thanks for what we have.

Lyn Hurst

I think the Pacific's intro music is the best out of the 3. Get well soon, Pudgey.

Alex

First of all...I hope Pudgey is feeling better. Secondly, with the Pacific they follow one character and those who surround him. So Leckie and his group, Basilone and his group and since you have seen Eugene, or Sledge, the group of guys around him. I think I can say that without giving away to much in the future episodes.

John Thomas

Kind of a shame these versions don't have the preamble. They're only like 2-3 min long and Tom Hanks does the commentary. I know its this small thing but I it really sets the vibe. Like just to let you know before we jump in, this is explicitly the situation or these are the stakes. In other words, 2 min of pure exposition can fill in a lot.
