2024-06-22 02:29:01 +0000 UTCI wonder if Helaena is going to turn into a red priest/sort of Melisandre with her premonitions. I watched this ep. alone at first and then with you guys. Did not notice Helaena’s sort of ‘trance’ until Spartan pointed it out. But after her son was killed and she ran away while holding her daughter while passing through the hall, she stopped for a moment and gasped for breath, like she was snapping out of something. Like S&P would say; ‘Interestingggg’ 🤣

2024-06-21 09:50:59 +0000 UTCSpartan is failing to realize the situation Halena was in at the end. What was she supposed to do? She is a small woman alone in a room with 2 armed assassins, if she did anything like try to fight or just resist them, they could have just killed her and both kids and she couldn't risk that. In her mind she was able to get at least one of her children out of the situation safe. It seemed like any other way it played out they both would have been killed. There was nothing else she could do at that point.

2024-06-20 17:02:18 +0000 UTCI think the added scene at the end ( compared to the books ) when Alicent rides Criston Cole's Hightower presents an interesting question. He is the Lord Commander of the King's Guard at this point. When he was plotting with Aemond, Otto told him to go back to his post which means he was on duty. Now I wonder where his post is supposed to be? My guess would be right outside of the King's bedroom. So if he wasn't boning Alicent he could've stopped those two entering her room.
