Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen. Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

2024-06-22 16:43:07 +0000 UTCThe Suzie scenes that you both said felt familiar I believe were supposed to be reminiscent of Steven Spielberg's movies from the 80s (Like E.T. or Poltergeist) or just 80s family movies in general. The score for those scenes also felt very John Williams inspired, so I think they definitely are paying tribute to Home Alone as well despite that releasing in 1990.

So that guy telling El about her mother she can't remember that conversation. Which is why in season 2 she was surprised to hear her mother was still alive. Shes blocked all of those events out.

Mormons typically have a lot of kids, I live in a town with a high Mormon population and the people I went to school with typically had families with 4+ kids. They had a vibe going on and it gave me 80s movies vibes but also reminded me of Cheaper by the Dozen/ Yours, Mine, and Ours.

They’re good people so they saw the potential for good in Billy. Giving Billy another redemption arc like Steve’s would have given us another great complex character. It is disappointing we didn’t get to see him grow as a person because that would’ve been beautiful!

It's been confirmed that his one comment was because Lucas was giving her a hard time, in fact the actor confirmed that initially the script had Billy being racist in that moment but they p[urposely cut it out as they didn't want that angle for Billy. As for mysogyny, what? He treated everyone like shit.

One of the reason Brenner is sometimes kind with the kids because he manipulates them to keep them in check. Like how that first boy who lost to number 2 was so pissed that he had to sit on the side. Because of Brenner's treatment of them, they all want his attention and are super competitive between one another, they all want to be the special kid. That's also why Eleven got bullied.

We never see the demogorgon collapse when the gate closes in S1 because the gate never closes in S1. The gate was at the lab and was open all the way until the S2 Finale. The End of S1 ends when eleven makes the demogorgon and herself go to the upside down.

The actor played the heck out of the character so I get loving that but Billy, the character, was a racist, misogynist ,abusive POS for 99% of his screen time. The only good thing he did was defend el in the last 1% of his screen time. Even disregarding everything he did while flayed which is right because we get to see that he didn’t want to do those things so none of that gets held against him, the rest of his time he was a terrible person. We can feel sorry and understand why he is the way he is because of his father, but his actions are still his and his actions were pretty much a trash person the entire time.

So I'll just say that so many of your questions will be answered in episode 7. And I'm still amused at the consistent love for Billy. The actor was amazing. But the character wws a horrible human!! But to each, his own. Great reaction guys.

Them calling him papa always makes my skin crawl, but those poor kids got manipulated from the moment they were born and probably don't even know his real name. Having said that, I really like his character. I would tune in for his own prequel show if they ever were to make one. The backstory would be soooo interesting.

For the first time we are seeing these parents worried about their children, it's been 4 seasons and they don't realize anything, how is that possible? Hoper is a fighter, he can lose hope for a moment but he never gives up on finding a way and I love that about him. Poor King Steve, so brave and at the same time always taking a beating. Many people thought it was stupid that the rest of the team jumped but you're absolutely right, he would be screwed if they didn't. Don't worry, we are close to get answers and the next episode is great and one of my favorites. Not to create expectations, just my personal opinion.
