At the end of the day every Celestial has just been homeschooled by their parents and their peers that everybody else is below them from birth essentially, so can you really expect them to think differently when they have no baseline to compare to. When they already expect everyone to jump in front of a bullet for them can you really expect them to think of it as anything more? Now if Otohime can teach him about the "real" world out there without the interference of other Celestials she might have a chance of making him understand

The Straw Hats then rescued Camie from a large creature and she asked them to save Hatchi with Nami thinking the name sounded familiar. Arlong getting his ass whooped by Jimbei is basically like a small child trying to fight a skilled, adult fighter 🤣🤣🤣 Queen Otohime is such an inspiring figure! She fights for a better future for all fishpeople and merfolk 🥹🥹🥹

Killing him would have put the island in danger — which ultimately happened anyway On the other hand, refusing to fight meant being expelled from the Warlords, undoing years of effort to build ties between fish-men and humans Jinbe was completely checkmated
