Rufus Du Sol is absolutely amazing. He has such amazing atmosphere. I didnt realize he was Australian! I listen to a lot of Brazilian DJs, and they play a ton of his music in their mixes as well as remix his work. Such a great artist and I've been DYING for a reaction channel that does less-well-known EDM/House. I would fully endorse a reaction to some great "underground" edm work

I think the way Kevin Parker gets the feedback loop going with his music is time. He literally goes between the extremes of playing a certain synth riff on a loop for hours during the day to then ignoring it for weeks to get a fresh perspective a few weeks later. He has an amazing ear though

I joined the Patreon just for this. This is a really important album for me. When it came out I was in a very serious relationship and even visited Ireland to spend time with that person when she was studying abroad, etc. This album came out as we were splitting up and helped me find myself. It was also definitely the soundtrack to the parties of the time. Now here I am happily married (to someone else) and seeing you guys enjoy it, and I am enjoying it again.

I really enjoy this album and think it has it's moments for sure, however listening to it cover to cover always gets a little boring for me due to a lack of contrast. The music all has the same airy tone which compliments his falsetto but it all exists in the same register and the structures are very similar with the bass dropping out and coming in, he has a few tricks that I feel he over uses. I am by no means hating on the album but I enjoy the songs more in playlists than listening to the whole album. I hope you check out ANTI at some point, I think the versatility in that album is stunning and her cover of new person is very pleasant. Also can confirm that I too am a beach hole digger, dudes rock.

I agree that bonus tracks should be considered separate from the album. Maybe you can do the album for free on YouTube and then make a second video with bonus tracks for the patrons. As for the MotM bonus tracks, in cases like that where the tracks are taken from somewhere else, I’d rather you just skip them and do the actual mixtape (which is great and Kevin would love)
