The State of the Patreon!

First and foremost I want to thank you guys for being here. Never in a million years did I think we would have a community like this so quickly.  I know a lot of you in the community use resin printers and I feel like I am not serving you guys well. So I am taking all of this months pledges to buy a Elegoo Saturn. I am hoping this will make it so my files are great for everyone!

Also, I am planning to fix the pokeball, but I need to wait till the Saturn comes in. the files work on my FDM printers but parts tend to grow on FDM.

Lastey Charamdar will be released on the 5th!

Thank you all!

I'm actually of the opposite opinion of steve, I tend to print everything in resin, ironically a saturn aswell and some of your models have had very minor issues that are only relevant to resin over fdm. knowing you've used our pledges to understand your patreons needs much better is a really good thing in my eyes. I'd much rather know you're spending the money in a way that we can actually benefit from as tbh, what you do with the money is completely up to you, you've earnt it so knowing you putting some of it back into being able to give us better files, I can't understand how that could be a bad thing. No other patreon discloses how they spend the donations as they just use it as their personal income which is their right. I just find that quite odd and he's entitled to his opinion, but I doubt he's speaking for the majority, that's the one part I (and I can bet the rest of this patreon) would probably agree with. Either way keep doing what your doing. Only thing I would've complained about is that we don't get exclusive access, just early access, but ultimately, its your choice what you do, we have the choice to pay or leave and in the famous words of leaonardo dicaprio........I'M NOT F*"%*@NG LEAVING

congratulations! that’s a lovely beast of a printer πŸ’• and thank you for noticing the resin printers in here πŸ˜†. Personally, I’m not quite able to empathise with Steve, and am happy for you to do whatever with the $11 you earned from me. Even if you chose to buy worm boxes for a worm bin, that would be entirely within your right, a resin printer to make better files in the future is nice of you 😸. I hope you don’t feel guilty. ps- Have fun with the new printer! You can get colour inks made specially for UV resin to colour the stock clear or white resin, those are a ton of fun.

I also wanted to mention that in my 1.5 years of 3d printing is that resin had for me, a much easier learning curve. I started with one ender 3, then bought a second. I bet it was a good month of messing with settings to get it to where I wanted. I then bought a Mars 2 Pro and within hours I was printing amazing quality prints, and in 5 months have never had to re-level or deep clean anything... and I print daily almost. I best advice is to stick the Elegoo white resin. I've never had a print fail and it seems to be the lowest odor. Stock up on shop-quality paper towels, 97% isopropyl, and rubber gloves. If you have a Harbor Freight you can get gloves, heavy duty paper towels, and also paper strainers in bulk for cheap!

No need to upgrade. I got enough for it. I understand why he was angry, have this happen is just part of being successful.

Get the printer man! You deserve it and I'll even upgrade my patreon if it helps you get it. These models are amazing!

I'm happy for you! I want to get into resin printing, i wanted to start out small because i feel like its a little intimidating, but you worked hard and deserve to treat yo self!

I could not have gotten one without people like you. I really just want to make my files better for resin printers. To do that I need one and I only intend to buy one. So I got one that will fit the same models i am putting on my ender.

I understand where you are coming from. I know it seems like i am using the funds to on something very delux. Could I start with a cheaper printer, yes. But if FDM printing has tough me anything is to get the size you want from the beginning. I only plan to have one resin printer, and I dont want the hassle of getting rid of a smaller printer. I know a lot of my patrons use resin, and I just want to make the best files for everyone. Its hard for me to do that without learning more about resin printing. I am sorry to see you go, but I understand. One thing should know is that have taken all of my Etsy listings down as to not compete with my patrons.

I am speechless. I suppose it's your community and your funds which I know you've worked hard far. But for me, it's' hard to believe that you're buying such an expensive printer with the use of my funds. Personally, I don't even own a resin printer because I can't afford one. But I support you because I think its the right thing to do when I use your files, which by the way are amazing works of art. I think I could have done without knowing that you're buying this printer with my donation. I realize it's on $11.00 but it's $11.00 that I choose to give you and I know I work hard for my money. I don't know, I saw this post and I immediately became upset about it. Is that wrong of me? I feel like we are going to pay for your learning curve that goes along with Resin printing. It's not the same from what I understand. I can appreciate that your trying to grow and educate yourself so you can serve everyone in a better way. But maybe you could have considered a much less expensive printer? Something to get your feet wet? There are also alot of buy sell trade printer groups. I just saw a guy moving 4 of these because he got into wood working and he dropped out of his passion for 3D printing. Sorry, I guess I am just going to be the a** h*** and say it. But then again that's just my character. I usually find that I end up saying what most people are thinking anyways. I am sorry, I am not sure I can support this. I appreciate having had the opportunity to print your files, but I just can't support this direction. I am sure you will do well and I wish you the best! Thanks for an awesome month!!
