Day 2: first waterfall!

I'd like to visit her in winter; it must be spectacular. This was a morning dip, first thing in the morning. Then breakfast and more exploring...

Of course! A Xana is a creature in Asturian mythology. They are female and live in fountains, rivers, springs, waterfalls, forests, caves. The origine seems to come from the godess Diana. There are many stories about them, depending on who talks about them and their interpretation! Sometimes they are depicted as malevolent, sometimes as benevolent, enchanted, enchanters, stealers, helpers... For me they are benevolent beings who love these habitats and are kind and helpful to those who live them too! Leyends tell that they keep treasures too. I'll include a leyend in one of my next posts, from one of the waterfalls we visited ... Very apt!
