Mountain Gnawer Head Study
Added 2018-06-26 19:09:39 +0000 UTCOne of the images from my last Picarto stream. It's a 45 minute head study of a character from my Equestria dreamscape.
The dragon's name translates into pony as Mountain Gnawer and he's a member of the Council of Dragons. He's been an enemy, supporter, ally and mate for Bent Horn who's the head of Council. Dragon relationship can be complicated when you can have lifespans measured in thousands of years.

2018-06-26 20:33:22 +0000 UTCThere are so many aspects to this picture that I like. I think my favourite is the eye and the area around it. His expression suggests so many things: intelligence, humour, slyness, pride, patience... maybe it's me but I can even see tenderness there. You have away of creating images that truly show the multifaceted nature of characters, and a faculty for capturing these 'architectural' forms that is quite amazing.
