I'm not sure about Reacting to Openings.....i was virtually yelled at to stop watching them until after the Saga/Arc finished.
Thats a bit backward for my viewing habits...I'm not one to skip something and go back to it later...by than my interest fades....
Now i feel anxiety over it...I really can't put it into words....but it just never felt good to be excited about OP openings and have to give that up...only to watch when I have "permission" It felt "restrictive" probably another reason...I LOVE Oden....
Ironic following a show where the MC's goal is freedom among many things lol...but always...I understand folks wanted me to skip them because of the spoilers...but that destroyed a bit of the passion and turned it more into a chore..."op, let's skip our favorite part and go right into what everyone commands us to do" see that's how i internalized it, guys...
I watch a lot of shows guys.....One Piece is the only series that impacted my Avatar TWICE....Luffy, Oden, and now Yamato for channel Avatar.

But i think if you want to watch an anime opening while watching the show then all the power to you. It gives something nice to watch while you discuss and think about various things about the show and what’s happening

Its ok to know things that the main characcters dont know, its ok to see something that will hype you for upcoming episodes and scenes. Its usually so out of context anyways that it doesnt even affect when it does show up in episode.

2022-10-15 00:57:31 +0000 UTCIt really is a shame. With so many excellent OPs Toei just had to throw a monkey wrench in the works by adding in "in this episode" spoilers. Now it's kinda understandable that with the manga scene being so big over there that Toei didn't think much about it as most of their local viewership have already read past it, but for those of us overseas, who either only watch the anime or only read the manga afterwards, those little snippets do spoil us to what's coming. On the flip side I feel somewhat dismayed hearing about how hard-nosed members of this community can be. While I do understand the desire to have the reactor go in completely blind, to threaten to unfollow/unsubscribe is going too far IMHO. OPs and EDs are meant to be enjoyed, and to get threats like this if you see them "too soon" does taint the experience. I hope that you can get to a point where you feel like you can enjoy them again and don't feel like it's a chore.
