As someone who had to make the hard decision to put my mother on palliative care and watch her die within a week, I think doctor kan does the right thing. If the person wants to live, we should do everything possible but if the person is suffering and living is painful, the doctors and family have to let that person go. Life does not have value for the affected person anymore and that should be the most important thing. I would love to have my mother still with me, I’m only 25 and have so much left to show her but she would be miserable and my wish does not outweigh her feelings toward her illness and death
